Osimhen, 25, has been linked with a move away from the Diego Armando Maradona Stadium this summer, despite signing a contract extension last December.

Recent reports suggest that Napoli has lowered his asking price to £85 million, as suitors are unwilling to meet his £100 million release clause.

Manchester United, Chelsea, and Arsenal are among the Premier League clubs reportedly interested in the services of the Super Eagles striker.

At his first press conference as Napoli’s head coach, Conte expressed admiration for Osimhen but refrained from commenting on his future, citing an existing agreement between the player and the club.

“I know the situation with Osimhen, just as I did with Kvara, Di Lorenzo, Anguissa, and Lobotka,” Conte said, according to Football Italia.

“There are agreements in place with the club, and I’ll respect that. While Osimhen is a top player, I won’t discuss his situation due to previous agreements.”

Romelu Lukaku, who worked with Conte at Inter Milan and won the Scudetto in 2021, has been tipped as a potential replacement for Osimhen.
