This occurred on February 19, 2025, around 16:30 hours at Nyezerera Trading Centre.
On that fateful day, the driver was driving his motor vehicle registration number 10364 HINO 5 Toner Lorry from the direction of Miseu-Folo heading towards Migowi along Miseu-folo Migowi Road.
Upon arrival at Nyezerera Trading Centre, he hit and ran over the said pedal cyclist who was cycling Avon bicycle towards same direction.
Following the impact, the cyclist sustained severe head injuries and fractured left leg.
Was rushed to John Chilembwe Hospital where he pronounced dead upon arrival. The driver escaped unhurt and the motor vehicle has no damage while his bicycle got extensively damaged.
