David Adeleye, like most other fighters, is balancing future hopes with present obstacles. There has been no better time in recent boxing memory to be a heavyweight and the British-born fighter knows that. Big fights, big nights and big paydays are everywhere in the sport right now and Adeleye is keen to cash in. ...READ THE FULL STORY FROM SOURCE ...READ THE FULL STORY FROM SOURCE
The 28-year-old’s talents have long been known to those in and around the sport. Five years ago, just weeks after his professional debut, he was whisked away by Tyson Fury to help fine-tune the Gypsy King for his rematch with Deontay Wilder.|GOD WILL JUDGE THEM: 18+ SEE. Adeleye wants those big fights for himself but after a crushing knockout loss to fellow contender Fabio Wardley last October, he can ill afford another slip-up when he returns to the ring after 13 months out on Saturday against the slick, unbeaten heavyweight Solomon Dacres.
‘I took a lot away from that loss but more so about myself rather than anything in particular about the fight,’ Adeleye told Metro as he reflected on his defeat to Wardley, the first of his pro career.
‘I learnt a lot about myself, preparation, doing things the right way and listening to my body. Like I said it wasn’t a loss it was a lesson, and I’ve learned from my lesson now.
‘I’m on a different trajectory now but it’s about refocussing and moving forward again. In life there are obstacles and people get through them differently – I’m the kind of person to get through them with flying colours. I’m flying right now.’

That renewed confidence is, in part, down to a change of voice in the corner. His new trainer, Adam Booth, has worked wonders with heavyweight fighters over the years, most memorably with David Haye, and Adeleye is confident the difference will be telling on fight night.
‘The proof is in the pudding the man is an experienced trainer and he’s been at the top level before,’ he said. ‘He understands fighting and heavyweights we’ve gelled straight away as soon as I got to the gym. It’s gone even better than anticipated.
‘He has given me a different look on boxing, just letting me see things differently. He understands me, my personality, my fighting style and just works to my advantage. You’ll all have to wait and see on fight night.’

While his return against Dacres has taken longer than expected due to an injury that postponed their original July date, Adeleye has made the most of the delay.
Time spent helping Anthony Joshua prepare for his fight with Daniel Dubois may have ended in defeat for the former two-time unified world heavyweight champion, but it did reinforce to Adeleye that he is more than capable of mixing it with those at the top of the tree.
‘I’ve been there before and you get to see how they operate at the top level and how they prepare for the big fights as well,’ he said. ‘It kind of shows me where I’m at where I’m sparring them boys at the top level.
‘Of course, the last fight didn’t go his way but operating at that top level when he’s preparing for those fights shows me what I’m doing right in my career is right.’

Adeleye wants a fight with IBF world champion Daniel Dubois within the next two years
Adeleye is also keen to take inspiration from Dubois who, in becoming the IBF world champion, has proved that early-career setbacks do not have to define one’s career.
‘He showed a lot of perseverance,’ Adeleye said of his fellow Brit with whom he has sparred hundreds of rounds when the pair were both amateurs.
‘A lot of people wrote him off when he lost to Joe Joyce and said he was done. But he was young and he showed tremendous skill even the fights that he lost but people were still writing him off. He didn’t take it on board, he carried on doing what he wanted to do and now he’s at the top of the tree. He’s proved a lot of people wrong.
‘It just shows that you have to focus on yourself. There’s always going to be people along the way who say things and do things that you might like but it’s just about ignoring the stops and carrying on until the end of the road; doing what you need to do to get where you need to be.’
Adeleye continues his journey along that road on Saturday night, but he doesn’t think there are too many miles left until his path crosses with that of his former teammate.|GOD WILL JUDGE THEM: 18+ SEE. VIRAL VIDEO. HOW BOKO. HARAM. $L4UGHTERED. HUMAN .BEINGS LIKE. CHICKENS|.
‘A fight with Dubois is definitely one I want within the next year or two,’ he ended. ‘I know where I’m at and I definitely feel like I’m ready for those fights. ‘I know boxing is a thing where you have to work your way back up to the top but, god willing, within 12 months I’ll be there knocking on the door for a scrap with those big boys.’.…Read -T.he.Full_Article.Here.
