She alleged that most of the intimate love calls from Akpabio comes in the dead of the night and that she usually wakes her husband and put the conversations on speaker.

Natasha alleged that it was her refusal to yield to the sexual advances from Akpabio that is behind the hatred and antagonism against her.

The Kogi Central Senator made the allegation when she appeared on the Morning Show aired by the Arise News Channel in Abuja.

The senator detailed an incident from 8 December 2023, when she and her husband visited Mr Akpabio’s residence in Akwa Ibom State.

She said during the visit, the senate president made inappropriate advances towards her, even in the presence of her husband.

The senator also made reference to another incident where Mr Akpabio allegedly told her to “to be taking care of her” if she wants her motion to always be taken on the floor of the Senate.

The Kogi senator had already filed a suit against the senate president and Mfon Patrick, a senior legislative aide to Mr Akpabio, over alleged defamation.

In the suit, the senator demanded N100 billion in general damages and N300 million as litigation costs.

It was not the first time the Senate President was accused of wrongdoing by a female colleague or an associate.

On December 12, Ireti Kingibe, senator representing the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), temporarily walked out of the senate chamber after Akpabio refused to entertain her motion on the need to probe the demolition of structures in the nation’s capital.

In one extreme case, Akpabio was accused of sexual harassment.

‘I slapped Akpabio for sexually harassing me’

In July 2020, Joy Nunieh, former Acting Managing Director of the Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC), claimed she slapped Akpabio, who was then the Minister of Niger Delta Affairs, for sexually assaulting her.

Coincidentally, it was on the same television station where Natasha made this claim that Nuineh granted an interview and leveled allegations against Akpabio.

“Why did he not tell Nigerians that I slapped him in his guest house at Apo? I am the only Ogoni woman, the only Nigerian woman that has slapped him. I slapped him because of his plan B. Since he couldn’t get me to take that money, he thought that he could come up on me.

“He didn’t know that I’m a Port Harcourt girl. Port Harcourt girls are not moved by money…by somebody telling me that he will make me the substantive MD. Akpabio’s meetings with me were either at Apo or Meridien…Yes, I am accusing him of sexual harassment.”

Akpabio, in turn, said Nunieh has temperament issues. This is even as he suggested she sees a doctor.

The minister said Nunieh was not relieved of her appointment because of corruption but because of insubordination.

He also denied the allegations, saying unnamed individuals “afraid of the Forensic Audit at the NDDC” sponsored Nunieh to tarnish his image..CONTINUE THE FULL READING HERE:
