All Progressives Congress, on Tuesday, said it was not intimidated by the recent visits of ex-Vice President Atiku Abubakar; former Kaduna State Governor, Nasir El-Rufai, and prominent northern politicians to the immediate-past President, Muhammadu Buhari.

The individual visit, which was regarded as a Sallah homage, has been received with mixed reactions.

ThePAPERS reports that former Senator representing Kaduna Central Senatorial District in the 8th National Assembly, Shehu Sani, on Monday, described the visitations to the former president in his hometown of Daura in Katsina State as plots to unseat President Bola Tinubu in 2027.

Sources in the People’s Democratic Party told ThePAPERS that the visit is political and it has to do with 2027 election.

“Nigerians are suffering, and I want to tell you that lots of people who voted for APC are regretting now, so it is important for Atiku to try his luck again at this time. Atiku is contesting in 2027 for sure, nobody can stop and I want to tell you that is part of the moves recently,” source told ThePAPERS.

The source further revealed that northern elders are not happy with this current administration’s policies and they will be ready to support anybody in 2027.
