The unverified claim states: “Breaking News: EFCC Discovers $800 Million, ₦700 Billion Cash, and ₦1 Trillion Worth of Drugs at Nasir El-Rufai’s Son’s House in Kaduna.”Read Here First |V!RAL V!D£O OF PAST0R DAUGHT£R M!STAK£NLY S£ND H£R NVD£ V!D£0 M£ANT F0R H£R BOYFR!END T0 CHURCH WHATSAPP CH0!R GR0UP|.

According to the claim, the discovery occurred during a surprise raid conducted by the EFCC, during which a violent confrontation reportedly erupted between EFCC personnel and the private security team guarding the property. The alleged altercation led to the deaths of at least two EFCC officers, highlighting the high-stakes nature of the investigation and perceived resistance from those involved.

To verify the authenticity of this claim, PRNigeria conducted a thorough investigation. Notably, the claim lacks a timestamp and fails to specify critical details such as the exact location, date, and identities of the individuals involved. PRNigeria delved into digital footprints associated with claims of shootouts and deaths of EFCC officials nearby, utilizing relevant keywords on platforms like Facebook and X (formerly Twitter), along with social media monitoring tools. The search yielded no posts that substantiate the claim, apart from a few fragmented messages.

Furthermore, PRNigeria scanned major news outlets for any reports regarding this so-called “breaking news,” but found no such coverage. An examination of the official EFCC official website and it’s social media accounts esoecially X handle and Facebook page revealed that the most recent post related to recoveries was about the record retrieval of 753 duplexes and other properties in Lokogoma District, Abuja. No statements supporting the claim concerning El-Rufai’s son were found.

Conclusion:

PRNigeria‘s findings indicate that there are no publicly available records, news reports, or press releases that corroborate the claim. The EFCC is currently focused on other high-profile recoveries, including the aforementioned properties in Abuja.

Therefore, PRNigeria concludes that the assertion regarding the recovery of $800 Million, ₦700 Billion in cash, and ₦1 Trillion worth of drugs at the home of the son of former Kaduna State Governor Mallam Nasir Ahmed El-Rufai is FALSE.
