According to a report by The Punch on Monday, April 20, 2026, Nigerian professional wrestler, Isaac Odugbesan, popularly known as Oba Femi, delivered a stunning performance on Sunday night.

He defeated 10-time WWE Champion Brock Lesnar in under five minutes during his debut at WrestleMania 42.

The bout was one of the headline matches of the event. It ended quickly as the 27-year-old Nigerian overwhelmed the veteran with strength and precision.

The match began cautiously. Both wrestlers tested each other. Lesnar soon took control with powerful strikes and suplexes. Femi remained composed.

Lesnar delivered his signature F5, drawing loud reactions from the crowd. But Femi recovered almost immediately, surprising fans.

He answered with a thunderous chokeslam. Seconds later, he sealed victory with his “Fall From Grace” sit-out powerbomb. The referee counted the pin. The crowd erupted.

After the match, Lesnar removed his gloves and boots, leaving them in the ring. The gesture is widely seen as a sign of retirement in professional wrestling. The result quickly went viral. Many fans described it as a shocking upset.

Femi, known as “The Ruler,” has spent just three months on WWE’s main roster under WWE. Born in Lagos, he started as a shot put athlete before joining WWE in 2021.

He later won the NXT Breakout Tournament and the Iron Survivor Challenge. During the post-show, he called out Roman Reigns, hinting at a future title challenge. For many Nigerians, it was a proud and historic moment.
