Fayose announced the visit on X (formerly Twitter), sharing photos of the meeting but withholding details about their discussion.

In his post, Fayose expressed his pleasure at meeting the President, stating, “A great pleasure to visit the President, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR, in Lagos yesterday.”

Fayose Urges Atiku to Bow Out of Politics

In a separate development, Fayose advised the 2023 presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Atiku Abubakar, to step away from active politics, particularly from contesting in future elections.

Speaking in an interview with The Nation, Fayose argued that Atiku, who will be around 80 or 81 years old by the 2027 elections, should prioritize passing the baton to younger leaders. He suggested that the age factor and the current political climate in Nigeria call for fresh perspectives and youthful leadership.

“With all due respect to him [Atiku], at his age, I believe it’s time for him to stay away from election contests,” Fayose stated. “By the time President Bola Ahmed Tinubu finishes his first term, Atiku will probably be 80 or 81 years old. At that age, what would be the attraction? Nigerians are clearly yearning for younger generations to take charge.”

“Leave the Stage While the Ovation Is Loudest”

Fayose emphasized the importance of knowing when to exit the political stage gracefully, especially after decades of public service. He said, “We should leave the stage when the ovation is loudest. Staying too long in the race could overshadow the legacy one has built over the years.”

He also criticized the PDP’s lack of structure and unity, which he sees as a significant barrier to challenging the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC). “I have always said that we can defeat the APC, but when you don’t have a party, how do you defeat them? When you complain about APC but lack the platform to challenge them effectively, it becomes impossible to make any strategic move.”ENDTIME INDEED| POPULAR NIGERIA PASTOR P0RN V!DEO L3AKED, V!DEO GOES V!RAL ON T!KT0K | DOWNLOAD OR WATCH IT HERE.

Context and Implications

Fayose’s remarks come at a time when Nigeria’s political landscape is undergoing significant realignments. His meeting with Tinubu has sparked curiosity, with many speculating about the purpose of the visit.

Meanwhile, his advice to Atiku reflects a growing sentiment among some political observers who believe that Nigeria’s leadership should increasingly reflect the nation’s youthful population. Fayose’s critique of the PDP also underscores the challenges facing the opposition as they prepare for the next election cycle.

As political strategizing intensifies ahead of the 2027 general elections, Fayose’s comments add to the ongoing debate about generational leadership and the future of Nigeria’s political parties...Tap To Read The Full Story Here.
