It is said that the school management confiscated books suspected to have been stolen from the school library from the girls and this angered them.
It is also said that the learners were cautioned on their behaviors of sneaking out of the hostels at night and meet with boys.
But this did not go down well with the learners who in retaliation resorted in setting ablaze the hostel.
Spokesperson for the Ministry of Education Mphatso Nkuonera confirmed of the development, saying a team of investigators have been sent to the school.
