This allocation was outlined in the 2025 Appropriation Bill presented to the National Assembly, which also projects that the annual maintenance costs for the Presidential Villa will total approximately ₦5.49 billion.

Among the key allocations, ₦765 million is designated for the renovation of the Vice President’s residence and guest house. In addition, the refurbishment of the President’s quarters at the State House is expected to cost around ₦6.39 million. Other areas to be renovated include security personnel quarters, the State House auditorium, gymnasium, and living spaces for presidential aides, with an estimated total expenditure of ₦49 million.

Further, the budget proposes ₦51 million for the renovation of Prescott Barracks, the officers’ mess, and the signal office located in Asokoro, Abuja.

Additionally, the budget outlines that both President Tinubu and Vice President Shettima are set to receive ₦87 million in honorarium and sitting allowances. A separate ₦127 million has been allocated for the purchase of new SUVs.

The budget also includes substantial allocations for operational vehicles, with ₦3.66 billion earmarked for procurement at the State House, and ₦1.09 billion set aside for replacing the existing fleet of SUVs.

For the Lagos Liaison Office of the State House, a budget of ₦14.72 million has been allocated for the ongoing maintenance of various facilities, including Dodan Barracks and the Vice President’s guest houses in Ikoyi. Furthermore, ₦140.10 million has been set aside to complete the renovation and furnishing of the State House annex located at Dodan Barracks in Lagos.

In a related development, the Federal Government has earmarked ₦1.83 billion to convert assets forfeited to the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) into housing for State House personnel. This move follows the EFCC’s recent announcement of the recovery of a large estate in the Lokogoma District of Abuja, spanning 150,500 square meters and consisting of 753 duplexes and other residential units.
