The actor during a 2021 interview on MyNigeria TV, stated that Sani Abacha and Aliko Dangote were four years behind him at St. Thomas Catholic School in Kano State in the 1940s.

During the interview, the Ghanaian-born Nigerian actor noted that his real name is Emmanuel ‘Onyameba’ (which translates to God’s child in Ghana) France.

He gave a brief history of Nigeria, asserting that it was a multi-million dollar country.

He referred to Nigeria as a paradise that was blessed and rich in the production of groundnut, palm nut, groundnut oil, butter, timber, and finally oil.

Emmanuel France said he never dreamt of becoming an actor because he did not know anything about it. However, when the students had to welcome the reverend fathers and sisters of their secondary school when they arrived, they had to perform concerts, which ultimately contributed to him harnessing his acting skills.

He said, “I’m a “Ghanaian” because I was born in the Gold Coast. I attended school at the St. Thomas Catholic School in Kano. People like Sani Abacha and Dangote were four years my junior.

I never dreamt of becoming an actor. We used to perform concerts in drama plays back in school but God knew there was a career as an actor for me and I have carried it meticulously.

Nigeria was the greatest producer of timber, groundnut, butter, palm nut so Nigeria was a very rich paradise.”
