Sowore, in a post on his platform, called on citizens to join the protest scheduled for Tuesday, December 10 in various locations in Nigeria, the United Kingdom, and Canada.

Quoting a line from Bob Marley’s song, he wrote: “The people trying to make this world worse are not taking the day off. Why should I?” as he rallied the masses to join the “resistance” now.

The post outlined potential meeting points for the protesters.

This latest move came after the arrest of Farotimi over alleged defamation of Afe Babalola, a Senior Advocate of Nigeria and founder of Afe Babalola University Ado Ekiti (ABUAD).

Sowore had earlier criticized Farotimi’s arrest, describing it as “an abuse of Police powers” and stressing that a civil case should not have warranted police intervention.

Recall that the Ekiti State Police command invaded Farotimi’s office in Lekki, Lagos, on Tuesday to arrest him and take him to Ado Ekiti following Mr. Babalola’s petition.18+ Trending Video| Watch Now: Husband Beat Wife To Death Because She Refused To Give Him H0t $ex.

Babalola alleged in his petition that Farotimi defamed him in his book, ‘Nigeria and its Criminal Justice System’. The book, according to the prosecution, alleged that Mr. Babalola corrupted the Supreme Court to procure a fraudulent judgment in the service of his clients.

The venues are:

1) ABUJA – Federal Ministry of Justice.

2) LAGOS – Afe Babalola’s Chamber Magodo, Lagos.

3) ADO-EKITI- Ekiti Police Command headquarters.

4) LONDON: Afe Babalola Center for Transnational Education.
