In a political rally this afternoon, Governor Fubara opened up on his dilemma with the House of Assembly members, and made attempts at responding to rumours making the rounds in the state that he is refusing to meet the House Members and their demands.
In his words, “let me deviate a little to clarify some issues and rumours that is going round.
“I have heard rumours that I don’t want to meet with the house of assembly, that I am the problem because I don’t want to meet their demands.
“Let me make it abundantly clear that I do not have issues with any body, not the National Assembly Members and not the State Assembly members. I have suffered, made so much sacrifices to make sure that I meet with the House of Assembly members but to no avail.
We were supposed to have a meeting, they said the FCT Minister has to be present in the meeting, so I have been waiting for them to convene the meeting because I cannot do it behind so that it would not look at if I am dividing the house.
“So I do not have any problems with anybody, I don’t have any reason to do so. I said that anything they want me to do or to give them I will do so”. He concluded.
Fubara’s remark signals that all is not well between the Wike and Fubara camp in Rivers State.Read Original
