The blistering explosion ripped through a filling station in the city – which is the capital of Russia’s semi-autonomous region Chechnya.
And the explosion was less than a mile from the lavish palace of Putin’s so-called attack dog warlord Ramzan Kadyrov.
Horrifying video showed the enormous explosion – which then hurled a fuel tank 1,000ft towards a high rise block. Locals claimed the blast was so strong that the ground shook like in an earthquake.
