It can be recalled that Armed internet fraudsters fatally shot an officer after opening fire on a team of anti-graft operatives in Anambra on Friday, as reported by Peoples Gazette.

While condoling the family of the deceased officer and also praying for the wounded officer in a critical condition, Ezejiegu said they are not disturbed but not surprised at such immorality and dubious move by the cybercriminals to divert or scare the Commission’s attention and frighten anti-graft operatives from sanitizing the cyber space.
“The gruesome attack on the officials of the EFCC was glaringly nothing but an endorsement of its commendable efforts in waging war against cybercrime in all ramifications which must be supported, upheld and sustained by all well-meaning Nigerians for socio-economic development and prosperity of the country.
