Former Benue State Governor, Samuel Ortom said he got a spiritual direction against contesting for any election in 2027. He noted that he has no option but to respect God’s voice indicating that he failed to listen to the same voice when he contested and lost the election in 2023.

G-14 members are elders of the PDP in the 14 Tiv-speaking local government areas in Benue.

Ortom assured that the PDP was determined to take back the state house, which was lost in the 2023 election to Hyacinth Iormem Alia of the All Progressives Congress (APC).

According to him, he lost his senatorial bid in 2023 over his failure to consult God.
