Former Benue State Governor Samuel Ortom has admitted he made a major political error during the 2023 elections. Watch full report
According To NewsVista Reporter, Ortom publicly apologized to the Peoples Democratic Party while speaking at his Makurdi residence.
He confessed that imposing Titus Uba as the party’s governorship candidate was a wrong decision that damaged the PDP’s chances.
Ortom revealed that he ignored party elders, mock poll results, and popular opinion across the 23 local government areas.
In a shocking admission, he said he did not ask God before making the decision.
The move caused deep division within the party and led to widespread disappointment among supporters.
Although Ortom has now joined the APC, many PDP members are questioning whether his apology has come too late.
