If They Move Ahead with Their Impeachment Plot, It Means They’re Looking for Anarchy — According to Anabs Sara-Igbe

Anabs In an interview with Channels Television, Sara-Igbe, the National Coordinator of the South-South Leadership Forum, expressed his worries on the 27 members of the Rivers House of Assembly who had defected. He claims that the members’ decision to join the APC seems to be an attempt to forward the impeachment procedure. Sara-Igbe cautions that Rivers State might descend into anarchy or turmoil as a result of this course of action.

He emphasised that the primary focus should be on the development of the state rather than internal political maneuvers. Sara-Igbe pointed out the economic significance of Rivers State within Nigeria, highlighting the presence of crucial economic facilities. He urged the members involved to understand the complexities of the state’s dynamics and consider the potential consequences of their actions.

According to him, “The movement of these 27 members of the House to the APC is a plot to ensure that they go ahead with their impeachment process, but what they don’t understand is that they’re members of the House, but the state itself is more concerned with the development that is going on in the state.

And we don’t what we react—reactions that will cause more problems in the state. Rivers State is a very serious state in Nigeria with all the economic facilities around here, and therefore, if they don’t understand the dynamics and they move ahead with this their impeachment plot, it means they’re looking for anarchy or chaos in the state.”
