Morka, in a reaction to Obi’s State of the Nation address on New Year’s Day, had described Obi as “irrational” and accused him of spreading a “wrong narrative” aimed at misleading Nigerians. Obi had used the address to highlight the economic hardship in the country, urging President Bola Tinubu to suspend plans for additional taxes, address food insecurity, and tackle the daily struggles of Nigerians.

Morka countered these claims, asserting that the economy under Tinubu’s administration was making significant progress and suggesting that Obi needed to accept criticism.

Obaze condemned Morka’s remarks, interpreting them as threatening and inappropriate.

“Free speech has its limits: and there’s a fine divide between free speech and hate speech and threats. The recent utterances by Felix Morka against Peter Obi connote implicit and explicit threats. No one tells a messenger how to deliver his message, but vicarious liability is real,” Obaze stated.

He emphasized that Morka’s words could incite negative actions and called for accountability in case of any repercussions arising from the comments.

In his address, Obi painted a grim picture of the economic challenges facing Nigerians, criticizing policies that have led to increased hardship. He urged Tinubu to engage directly with citizens and devise strategies to alleviate their suffering. Obi also expressed concerns about food insecurity and rising banditry, issues he argued required immediate attention.POLITICIANS ARE NOW GETTING INTO TROUBLE GRADUALLY! $3X TAP3 V!DEO OF ANOTHER PROMINENT POLITICIAN LE4KED ON SOCIAL MEDIA | WATCH NOW BEFORE IT’S DELETED.
