The controversy between the two artists began when Speed Darlington linked Burna Boy to the troubled American rapper, Sean “Diddy” Combs, who is currently facing serious allegations of sexual exploitation and human trafficking.

Speed Darlington was rearrested on November 27, just two months after his initial detention, which was reportedly connected to Burna Boy. After spending nearly four weeks in custody in Abuja, Darlington was granted bail on December 23, 2024.

On Tuesday, Burna Boy took to his Instagram story to express his thoughts, stating that he is indifferent to public opinions but that his reactions are always dramatic and impactful. He further warned his critics, claiming that they are fortunate he has much to lose, otherwise, many of them would no longer be around.

He wrote, “When they talk, nobody cares, but it’s a Nuclear disaster when I react. You all don’t know how lucky you are that I have too much to lose now, Walahi a lot of you wouldn’t be here no more.
