Speaking at the annual New Year thanksgiving service held at the Unity Cathedral of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), Ogun Province 7, in Ilaro, Yewa South Local Government Area, Adeola emphasized that his primary focus remains on fulfilling the promises he made to the people of Ogun West.
Addressing rumors and speculations about his potential candidacy for the 2027 governorship race, Adeola, who chairs the Senate Committee on Appropriation, said, “I don’t think it is time for that now. We are still focused on bringing the dividends of democracy to the people as their elected senator.”
The senator stated that the event was an opportunity to thank God for his guidance in the past year and to show appreciation to the people of Ogun West for their support. He added, “We are here today to appreciate the Almighty God for His support in the past years and to celebrate the new year with my people for their cooperation because they are the ones who put me in this office.”
Adeola further indicated that discussions about his future political plans would only take place when the time is right, stating, “In future, we can start talking about that when the time is ripe to know if I am going forward or staying where I am. The future will determine all of that.”
Looking back on 2024, Senator Adeola reflected on the year as one marked by significant progress and development in his Senatorial District. He highlighted various developmental projects and empowerment programs that benefited his constituents.
The senator expressed optimism about the year ahead, stating, “2025 will be another exciting year. Our people should be expecting good things from my representation at the Senate in terms of developmental projects, empowering the people, and contributing to national issues on the floor of the Senate, so that we can build a more prosperous and stronger country.”
