Utweet reports that Samha is accused of violating the board’s regulations by wearing indecent attire and posting vulgar content online. According to a statement issued by the board’s Information Officer, Abdullahi Sani Sulaiman, the actress had received multiple warnings regarding her behavior, but she allegedly ignored these directives.
The statement clarified that the suspension, effective immediately, bars Samha from participating in any film production for 12 months. In addition, the board annulled her operating licenses and announced that no films featuring her would be censored during this period.
The decision followed numerous complaints from the public and concerned citizens in Kano, who expressed dissatisfaction with the actress’s conduct.
This action is seen as a commitment by the board’s leadership under Abba Al-Mustapha to uphold morality and restore decorum within the Hausa film industry. The board has vowed to enforce stricter compliance with its guidelines moving forward.
