The reaction by the opposition party comes after two groups recently endorsed Tinubu while touting his leadership credentials.
The groups include Coalition of Nigerian Youth Leaders, which suggested Seyi Tinubu as a potential candidate and Friends of Seyi Tinubu, who praised him as a visionary leader with exceptional qualities.
Reacting to these endorsements, Lagos PDP spokesperson Hakeem Amode dismissed the idea, stating, “Lagos will not serve him.”
He criticized the idea of imposition of Seyi Tinubu as a potential candidate while stating that any such idea would face strong resistance.
“Governorship is not a gift,” Amode told Punch, emphasizing that Lagosians had already shown their disapproval of the Tinubu political dynasty during the last presidential election by voting against President Tinubu.
