Mikel Arteta is set to face the press after Arsenal’s Premier League clash with Luton Town at Kenilworth Road.……CONTINUE READING>>>

The game got off to a feisty start with Luton committing five fouls inside the opening 15 minutes. Despite that it was Arsenal who had the lead when Gabriel Martinelli finished following a quick throw in that caught the hosts off guard.

That would not last long though. Gabriel Osho had Luton level from just five minutes later after losing his marker at a corner to head beyond David Raya.

The game continued to be a physical affair with both Jacob Brown and Ross Barkley receiving yellows for hefty challenges. Arsenal went back in front though right on the stroke of half time, as Gabriel Jesus headed in Ben White’s cross from close range.

The second half got off to a terrible start though with Elijah Adebayo heading in Luton’s second goal from a corner. Not long after things went from bad to worst as Barkley’s shot went straight through Raya to give the hosts an unlikely lead.

A see saw encounter then swung quickly again as Kai Havertz raced into the box to make it 3-3 after Jesus did well to win a knock down in the box. That set up a grandstand finish with Leandro Trossard and Oleksandr Zinchenko both having a huge impact off the bench as Arsenal sought a winner.

It looked as though they would fail, but right in the final minute of the match Declan Rice popped up to head home a dramatic winner that puts Arsenal five points clear at the top of the league.

A night to forget for David Raya of course. Not good enough for the second or third goal. But when times get tough the best players rise to the occasion. Saka, Jesus and Havertz all did that for Arsenal tonight, among several others.
