‘Na banku them sabi chop’ – Nigerians tease as USA thrash Ghana’s Black Stars 4-0

The Blacks of Ghana were thrashed by the United States Men’s Football Team (USMTM) 4-0 in a game that has questioned the preparedness of the team ahead of the African Cup of Nations in Cote d’Ivoire next January.....PROCEED.FULL.READING>>>
A U.S. team scored the Black Stars four goals in the first half in what has been described by football fans as the worst-ever first-half performance by the team.
The rout started with Giovanni Reyna’s strike on the 10th-minute mark after a poor clearance by the Black Stars.
Nine minutes later Christian Pulisic made it two from the penalty spot before Balogun struck a third in the 22nd minute. It meant the Americans had hit three goals in 12 minutes, local online GhanaWeb wrote.
The final goal came three minutes from the break through an indirect freekick converted by Giovanni Reyna for his second goal on the night.
The result has caused outrage on social media with many questioning the quality of the team and coach Chris Hughton.
This defeat comes after they were beaten by Mexico 2-0 in Charlotte.
Nigerians on social media have reacted to the defeat despite the Super Eagles facing their own demon in the goalkeeping department.
Questions have been asked by stakeholders about the quality of Francis Uzoho and Maduka Okoye who have in the past cost the team.
