National Anthem: Bring back old Naira-dollar exchange rate, fuel pump price too – I Go Save tells FG

The bill which the president has now signed into law seeks to replace the current anthem with the former one adopted on October 1, 1960, but was changed in 1978 by the Olusegun Obasanjo military regime.

I Go Save stated that since the national anthem has been changed to the old one, he’d be glad if other previously affordable items were changed to their old prices as against the current exorbitant prices.

Following the reinstatement of Nigeria’s old National Anthem, “Nigeria we hail thee,” comedian, Otaghware Otas Onodjayeke, better known as I Go Save, has urged the President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s administration to also return the country to the standard of economy it inherited.

This suggestion comes as President Bola Tinubu on Wednesday, May 29 signed the National Anthem Bill 2024 into law to reinstate the old anthem, “Nigeria, We Hail Thee.”

Taking to the photo and video sharing site, Instagram to make his grievances known, I Go Save said the Federal Government should also turn around the economy and security standards since the old national anthem has been reintroduced.

On his Instagram story, the funny man wrote:

“Since una don bring back old national anthem; can you people bring back our old dollar price, old fuel price, old flight prompt operating style, old taxation, old security standards et al.”

Other celebrities such movie actress Kate Henshaw and singer cum record label boss, Joeboy have also berated the Federal Government for prioritising changing the National Anthem over tackling the numerous challenges facing the country.…Continue The Full Reading.>’.
