Interior Minister Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo has reassured Nigerians of the federal government’s active response to ongoing security challenges. Speaking on Channels Television’s Politics Today, Tunji-Ojo emphasized that high-ranking officials, including National Security Adviser Nuhu Ribadu, Defence Minister Mohammed Badaru, and Chief of Defence Staff General Christopher Musa, are deeply engaged in addressing the issue, often working around the clock.

Tunji-Ojo highlighted improvements in national security since President Bola Tinubu took office, noting the progress made by military forces against threats like Boko Haram and the Islamic State of West Africa Province (ISWAP). He emphasized the government’s commitment to protecting Nigerians, stating, “No one is resting — we are all focused on tackling this problem.”

He also referenced a recent attack by a new extremist group in Sokoto and Kebbi states, urging Nigerians not to rush to conclusions about Tinubu’s administration.
