Nigerian musician D’banj files petition against Do2dtun
Nigerian musician D’banj has applied for an injunction to stop his estranged brother-in-law Do2dtun from posting hurtful and slanderous things about him on social media in a federal court in Abuja.....PROCEED.FULL.READING>>>
The performer submitted the appeal via Toheeb Lawal, one of his attorneys.
On Wednesday, October 18, 2023, Judge Emmanuel Iyanna granted the injunction in the case involving Motion No. MN/218/2023.
Iyanna granted “an order restraining the defendant (Do2dtun) either by himself, servants, privies, cohorts, representatives, or any person deriving authority from him from further making any malicious, intimidating or defamatory post directing at the complainant (D’banj) on any social media platform (X, Instagram, etc.) or news media pending the hearing and determination of the substantive case” in response to the application, which names D’banj as the complainant and Do2dtun as the respondent.
The Deputy Inspector of Police, Force Intelligence Bureau, was directed by the court to look into a criminal complaint filed by D’banj against Do2dtun and provide a report in two weeks.
Do2dtun had been attacking D’banj on social media for several weeks. The media personality married Taiwo, D’banj’s sister, in 2013, and the couple had two daughters.
Do2dtun claimed that he was denied access to his kids, but Taiwo refuted her ex-husband’s assertion.
