Osadolor made this statement in response to discussions among other opposition parties in Nigeria about forming a mega party ahead of the 2027 elections to challenge the All Progressives Congress (APC) for power. He also pointed to the Labour Party (LP) as a factor in the vote splitting that contributed to the APC’s victory in the 2023 presidential election.

While he acknowledged the desire for opposition parties to unite in their bid to unseat the APC, Osadolor emphasized that any successful coalition must include the PDP in its plans. “It is good that opposition parties are interested in a coalition to unseat the APC, but if those proposing this idea are serious, they should be engaging with the PDP now, discussing strategies and working relationships,” he said.

Addressing rumors of a potential implosion within the PDP, Osadolor firmly stated that the party is too well-organized and resilient to fold. He expressed his view that the previous experience with the Labour Party’s impact on the 2023 election, which he likened to eating an excess of “agbado and ewa” (corn and beans), should serve as a lesson, but not a reason for blame. “This is not the time for lamentations and blame games,” he added.TOP NEWS TODAY!
