The resolution to remove Madaki was reportedly formalized with 15 NNPP lawmakers signing the motion, as reported by Daily Nigerian. Three lawmakers—Alhassan Rurum (Rano/Kibiya/Bunkure), Abdullahi Sani (Karaye/Rogo), and Madaki himself—opposed the decision.

In a letter dated Monday, addressed to the Speaker of the House of Representatives, Abbas Tajudeen, the NNPP leadership nominated Tijjani Jobe, representing Dawakin Tofa/Tofa/Rimingado Federal Constituency, as Madaki’s replacement.

The letter, signed by NNPP National Chairman Ajuji Ahmed and Secretary Dipo Olayoku, stated, “The New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP) wishes to extend greetings to you, the leadership, and the entire members of the House of Representatives. We write this letter to forward the name of the Party’s most ranking member, HON TIJJANI ABDULKADIR JOBE, to replace Hon Aliyu Sani Madaki as Deputy Minority Leader of the House.”
