The confirmation was given on Saturday by the Force New Media Officer, Aliyu Giwa, in a short statement via his account.
He also assured that investigations remain ongoing on the incident and justice will be served.
“As stated, a total of 15 suspects have been arrested. This development reaffirms the Nigeria Police Force’s commitment to safeguarding lives and ensuring justice.
“Investigations remain ongoing,” he wrote.
