The deployment comes as the party’s national secretary seat is being contested by two individuals, Samuel Anyawu and Ude Okoye.
Aside from the presence of police personnel, some supporters of both Anyawu and Okoye are present.
The controversy started after Anyanwu contested for the Imo State governorship election, which he lost to the incumbent. Upon his return to the party, Okoye, who held the position while Anyanwu was away, challenged his right to return to the office.
