Stunned by Peter Obi’s presence, Portable prostrated when he saw the former Anambra State Governor who was about to enter his car.
Filled with smiles, Peter Obi exchanged pleasantries with Portable, saying, “How are you, my brother? How is everything?” and accompanied it with a hug. Portable went on to serenaded Obi.
The singer further stated that “there is hunger in the country, and God should help the country” (he said in Yoruba).

Shortly after meeting with Peter Obi, Portable was seen lamenting in a video. He noted that Peter Obi did not gift him any monetary support, expressing that things would have been different if he had met with President Bola Tinubu.
Speaking in Yoruba, Portable said: “Obi cannot give us anything. Obi didn’t give us anything. If it was Tinubu we met, he would have given us something. Let’s go.”
Peter Obi was in Benin to campaign for the Labour Party’s gubernatorial candidate in Edo State, Olumide Akpata, ahead of the September election, while Portable was also in Benin for a show.
