The operation, which targeted areas like Mushin, Amuwo Odofin, and Okota Isolo, was part of LASEPA’s ongoing efforts to ensure a healthier living environment for Lagos residents.
The announcement was made via the agency’s official X (formerly Twitter) page, emphasising its zero-tolerance policy for environmental violations.
Dr. Babatunde Ajayi, General Manager of LASEPA, reaffirmed the agency’s commitment to enforcing environmental laws in Lagos.
“Environmental protection is a shared responsibility,” he said. “As a government agency, we are dedicated to enforcing all necessary measures to ensure compliance with environmental laws. Noise pollution, improper siting of hazardous facilities, and other infractions significantly impact public health and quality of life.”
Other establishments sealed during the enforcement operation included Gak Universal Allied Limited, Ideal Standard, Golden Haven Resort & Suites, FS Service Centre, and Moulin Rouge Ventures at Olivia Mall. According to LASEPA, these entities had received prior notices but failed to address the violations.
Dr. Ajayi further urged Lagosians to play an active role in reporting environmental breaches to the agency, noting that collective efforts are critical to preserving the state’s environment.
“We urge businesses and individuals to prioritize compliance and adopt sustainable practices,” he added.
Recall that in September, LASEPA also sealed an RCCG, a Celestial Church of God, Vital Products Limited, and 7th Heaven Hotel & Suites, among other buildings in Lagos over noise pollution.
The enforcement reflects LASEPA’s commitment to creating a cleaner and quieter Lagos while addressing issues that compromise public health and the community’s well-being. Residents are encouraged to collaborate with the agency to ensure the city becomes a model of environmental sustainability.…READ THE FULL STORY FROM SOURCE : …READ THE FULL STORY FROM SOURCE
