The confirmation came after a report was presented on Tuesday by Senator Orji Uzor Kalu, Chair of the Senate’s ad hoc committee on regional developments. Senator Kalu, representing Abia North, assured that all nominees met the qualifications and requirements necessary to hold public office.
“After a thorough evaluation of their credentials and interactions during the screening process, we are confident they possess the expertise and experience to drive the objectives of these commissions,” Kalu stated.
North West Development Commission (NWDC)
For the NWDC, Lawal Samai’la Abdullahi was confirmed as Chairman, with Abdullahi Shehu Ma’aji serving as Chief Executive Officer.
