Reacting to his post on X, several Nigerians on social media lamented the politicians’ and government’s treatment of journalists.

Some believe that the army and journalists lack a cordial relationship, claiming that the military looks down on civilians.

Others claim that the security of the military is limited, not to mention that of journalists.

Below are some reactions.

@ChukwunyeluOrji: in other countries, politicians nd govt protect free speech nd journalists, how many journalists have u and ur buddies whisked away in the middle of the night with govt tools?? how have u supported free speech nd journalists when u were a senator??

@ElochukwuOhagi: Can they even go to the villages to ask questions? They will copy and paste the lies from Army and police PRO

@AGINAS: In order countries, most presidents dey follow troops go to the battlefield. Why are Nigerian presidents only staying in Aso Rock? NJ

@okaforndubest: When soldiers are not safe is it journalists that will be safe?

@eroticgal1: Here everything is secrecy, even if journalists want to go with them, they will say they are spies. They don’t trust a journalist.Do You Want To See The Video Of This Content?
