Nigerian preacher Dr. Charles Apoki joined several others in criticizing Pastor Adeboye’s comment suggesting that the naira’s survival was a result of God’s intervention.

During the Special Holy Ghost Congress in Abuja, Adeboye stated that the Nigerian naira could have plummeted to ₦10,000 per dollar if not for God’s help.

“If God hadn’t intervened, $1 could have been worth ₦10,000 by now,” he revealed, urging Nigerians to intensify their prayers for the nation’s economic recovery.

His comment did not sit well with many, given the worsening economic crisis ravaging the citizens amid the hike in fuel prices and the fluctuation of the naira.

Charles Apoki, in a video circulating on social media, bemoaned the Redeemed general overseer’s statements. According to him, Adeboye broke one of God’s commandments, which says, “Though shalt not call the name of the Lord in vain”.

He claims Adeboye turned himself into a speculator by always defending the country’s situation, knowing well that Nigerian leaders are spending on frivolities.

Apoki urged people close to him to call him to order and advise him to refrain from making such statements as people have become wiser and less susceptible to manipulation.

“And when you add value to your products before you export them, then your foreign currency inflow increases. And then when you limit your consumption of luxuries. The current president is buying cars as if he is a car dealer. Bought for the First Lady, recently bought for people, bought private jets, bought a yacht, this owambe stupid mentality, bring it to governance. And because you are his tribeman, and I saw a picture of you eating with him and the former governor of Lagos State. The three of you at the dining table, the picture is there. Maybe because you have a lot of pastors as members of this government and the previous government, you turn into a currency speculator.

The naira will be equivalent to the dollar in Jesus’ name, Amen. You have broken one of the commandments; don’t use the name of the Lord in vain. Jesus didn’t tell you that, God didn’t tell you that. If He told you.

You don’t give excuses for prophecies not coming to pass. God is sovereign. When you start giving excuses, you are a speculator and manipulator. Next time you will come and say, if not for your prayer. Those of you close to these our General Overseers, these our papas, please call them to order.

This is not the 1980s when you were preaching the full gospel with us and you just believed anything you said. Stop that thing. We have passed that stage. We are more knowledgeable now. We are more exposed. Stop that nonsense, call your general overseers, your papas to order. If you people are not ashamed, we are ashamed. If a crazy man is not ashamed, his family people are ashamed.”.… Read -T.he .Full _Article .Here.
