” On their way back home, they found Lisungwi river flooding and they agreed to cross, but in the process, Lesson was washed away by the running water after failing to swim,” said Rebbeca Msoliza, Neno police publicist.
Msoliza says the matter was reported to the victim’s relatives but a search conducted on Tuesday proved futile until yesterday when his lifeless body was found along the river’s bank.
Postmortem conducted at Luwani Health Center has revealed that death was due to suffocation secondary to drowning.
