Ondo South Senator, Jimoh Ibrahim, has revealed that President Bola Tinubu plans to utilize Artificial Intelligence (AI) in combating insecurity in Nigeria, with a special focus on bandits, kidnappers, and terrorists, starting in 2025. Speaking as a guest on Channels Television’s Politics Today, Ibrahim highlighted that AI-driven applications would be deployed to assist security forces in tracking and neutralizing criminals.

Ibrahim stated that this technological approach would significantly intensify the government’s fight against insecurity, making it more difficult for criminals to operate freely. He pointed out that the substantial security allocation in the ₦49.7 trillion 2025 budget, which includes ₦4.91 trillion for security, reflects President Tinubu’s commitment to improving peace and stability in the country.

He further explained that if the security budget is effectively utilized, it could result in an enhanced security situation, leading to a safer environment that would enable Nigeria to increase crude oil production, thereby boosting national revenue. According to Ibrahim, increased peace would directly contribute to Nigeria’s ability to produce more oil, thereby generating more income for the country.

Reflecting on the current state of security under Tinubu’s administration, Ibrahim emphasized that significant progress has already been made. He noted that areas once under the control of Boko Haram terrorists have now been liberated, marking a positive shift in the country’s security landscape. He lauded the efforts of the Nigerian Army and Police for their role in securing these territories.

The Senator expressed confidence that as the 2025 budget comes into effect, even greater strides will be made in securing the country. “Whether you like him or not, President Tinubu has improved the security index. No city or local government is under the Boko Haram flag today,” he affirmed, stressing that continued security improvements would allow the country to reap the economic benefits of increased oil production.BREAKING NEWS| WATCH THE VIDEO WHERE HE SAID IT| SEE THE NIGERIA GOVERNOR WHO DECLARES AMNESTY TO CRIMINALS DISTURBING HIS STATE.
