Paul Ibe, former spokesperson to Atiku Abubakar, has urged unity among opposition supporters, emphasising that political differences should not create enemies within.

Speaking on recent developments on Daily politics on Friday, Ibe said that supporters of Atiku Abubakar and the Peter Obi-led “Obidient” movement share common goals and should not be pitted against each other.

According to him, the true political adversaries are President Bola Tinubu and his allies.

Ibe expressed concern that external forces, particularly those aligned with Tinubu, are attempting to sow discord between Atiku supporters and the Obidient movement.

“People external to the ADC, the Tinubu elements, are putting a knife between the thing that holds Atiku supporters and the Obidients’ movements,” he said.

He also highlighted his close engagement with top-level Obidients, noting that strategic discussions were ongoing even before Peter Obi’s presidential declaration.

“We design strategies long ahead, and that will count for something,” Ibe added.
