Omoyele Sowore, a former presidential candidate says the Tinubu family will be one of the richest families in the world when Bola Tinubu has completed his first time as President. He wondered why the government has yet to construct more roads and stabilize the electricity challenges following the removal of the fuel subsidy.

“This is Tinubu’s government. It’s a yahoo yahoo government. Do you know who owns matter? It’s Tinubu’s mother. That Abibatu Mogadji, the one that died. They will be the richest people in the world. By the time Tinubu has done four years. This is not our government. We have accepted that our job will be to liberate this country. How can you help somebody to build a refinery and you cannot repair your own?” Sowore said in the video.

He continued: “The money that Dangote used in building its refineries came from the same NNPC they claim cannot manage refineries. Since they removed the subsidy, which roads have they constructed? You would expect that because they removed subsidies, everywhere there should be light, everywhere the roads should be shining, and there will be employment. Nothing has changed in Nigeria since they removed the subsidy. The only thing that the removal of subsidies has brought is hardship and suffering. All the major political parties, as they call themselves we’re all going to remove subsidy.”

“So if you voted for Atiku, the subsidy would have been removed by now. If you voted for Peter Obi, the subsidy would have been removed by now. If you voted for Atiku, they would have floated the Naira by now. Maybe Naira will even be 1,000. If you voted for Obi, they would have floated the Naira from now because they are not interested in Nigerian people. They are interested in the foreigners who come and cash out on the short-term basis.”
