The release has been met with widespread public support and appreciation, particularly from Nollywood actress Biola Adebayo, who played a significant role in raising awareness about Olowookere’s case.
In a video posted on social media, Adebayo was seen standing with Olowookere outside the prison after his release, expressing gratitude to Nigerians for their support and to Governor Adeleke for his intervention. She said, “This is Segun Olowookere, we are just leaving Kirikiri. He is finally out of the correctional center. Thank you so much for the love and support that we got. Segun is a very good guy. The testimonies at the correctional center were amazing. We are glad that he is out now for good. Thank you to Governor Ademola Adeleke, we are grateful.”
