Farotimi, who was granted ₦30 million bail by a Chief Magistrate Court in Ado Ekiti a few weeks ago, was arrested for allegedly defaming Senior Advocate of Nigeria (SAN) Afe Babalola, the founder of Afe Babalola University, Ado Ekiti (ABUAD).
Farotimi’s release followed his meeting of the bail conditions, and in a recent post on his X account, he conveyed his readiness to face the challenges ahead. He stated that while he is strong enough to confront formidable forces, he is also humble enough to express gratitude for the support he received from those who stood by him during his ordeal.
“I am strong enough to rumble unruffled against principalities and powers, but I am human enough to retain the capacity to shed tears of joy in appreciation of the grace of God, expressed in the concerted efforts of fellow victims,” Farotimi wrote.
He further emphasized his preparedness for the next phase of his legal battle, describing his determination as unshaken and his resolve stronger than ever.
