Taking to his Instagram page on December 31, VDM clarified the situation, reassuring his followers that the funds are secure.Gists9ja reports that in a video captioned “The conclusion of the missing 180 million naira from my NGO account – the investigation has ended,” the influencer expressed disappointment over the reactions of Nigerians who quickly believed the claims without verification.

VDM firmly stated, “No money is missing; my funds are secure,” while criticizing the public’s readiness to amplify negative news. Background of the Controversy

The controversy began on December 27 when reports emerged that over ₦180 million had been allegedly stolen from VDM’s NGO account by unknown hackers. On December 29, VDM announced that ₦78 million of the funds had been recovered.

To address the remaining amount, VDM disclosed plans to travel to Ghana with his team to further investigate the matter and identify the perpetrators. He also assured supporters that measures were being taken to strengthen the security of the NGO’s website.
