The disclosure was made in a statement released by the commission’s spokesperson, Dele Oyewale, who stated that the officers were dismissed in 2024.
According to Oyewale, the officers were dismissed for various offences bordering on fraudulent activities and misconduct.
He said that the officers’ dismissal followed the recommendations by the Staff Disciplinary Committee of the EFCC which was also ratified by the chairman of the commission, Ola Olukoyede.
Oyewale said that the chairman is committed to zero tolerance for corruption with the commission and has warned that no officer of the EFCC is immune to sanctions.
He said, “Every modicum of allegation against any staff of the Commission would always be investigated, including a trending $400,000 claim of a yet-to-be-identified supposed staff of the EFCC against a Sectional Head.
