The agreement for the new banking operations was signed by the French Minister of Finance, Antoine Armand, while Tony Elumelu, the group chairman, signed the agreement for UBA Group during President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s state visit to the European nation.

This agreement is inline with UBA’s global expansion strategy through hassle-free seamless transaction services.

Commenting on the new achievement, Tony Elumelu explained “This partnership reinforces our commitment to seamless international banking services for our customers, not just across the 11 Francophone African countries we serve but Africa as a whole, as well as French and European customers transacting with Africa.

According to him, expanding into France is a natural progression and Paris is expected to serve as the European Union hub of the lender.

Paris will join London, New York, and Dubai as critical components of our unique global network.

Presently, the United Bank for Africa operates in 20 African countries and in the United Kingdom, the United States, France, and the United Arab Emirates.
