Social media influencers VeryDarkMan and Mr Jollof risk criminal prosecution and up to five years’ imprisonment following their physical altercation aboard a United Nigeria Airlines flight, as the NCAA vows to apply the full strength of aviation safety laws.

Key Points:

The Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority confirmed both influencers violated aviation safety rules.
NCAA spokesperson Michael Achimugu stated there is “no tolerance for unruly behaviour aboard an aircraft.”
The Civil Aviation Act prescribes fines up to N2 million or 5-year imprisonment for such offenses.
United Nigeria Airlines deboarded both men and handed them to airport security immediately.
The incident endangered passengers, crew, and aircraft safety during boarding in Asaba.
This marks the latest in a series of unruly passenger incidents in Nigerian aviation.
Both influencers previously positioned themselves as educators on social conduct.
