Utweets reports that this new initiative provides a quicker route for candidates to improve their grades, offering an alternative to the previous system, where students had to wait for the next private exam cycle.
WAEC’s Head of Public Affairs, John Kapi, revealed the details of the program during an interview on JoyNews’ AM Show in Ghana on December 31. The registration for the resit exams, which run from January 24 to February 15, 2025, is open until January 8, 2025. Students can register online via WAEC’s website or through WAEC-accredited internet cafés.
To aid candidates in their preparation, WAEC will expedite the release of chief examiners’ reports, offering insights into common mistakes and strategies for improving performance. Kapi emphasized that these reports are designed to help students identify their weaknesses and work towards better results.
The exams will initially be held only in regional capitals, given the anticipated smaller candidate pool, and will be available to students who had their results cancelled, as long as they are not serving a ban for malpractice.
WAEC is actively promoting the initiative to ensure widespread awareness among students and parents.POLITICIANS ARE NOW GETTING INTO TROUBLE GRADUALLY! $3X TAP3 V!DEO OF ANOTHER PROMINENT POLITICIAN LE4KED ON SOCIAL MEDIA | WATCH NOW BEFORE IT’S DELETED.
