We Saw The Muslims In The Neighborhood Moving To The Direction Of The Gunshots – According to Survivor

A recent attack survivor from Plateau State’s Mangu Local Government Area has described how her valuables were looted and her house burned down during the turmoil.

The survivor, who requested anonymity, described how they heard the gunfire that fateful morning and went outside to investigate. There, they observed the neighborhood’s Muslims gathering in huge groups and heading in the direction of the gunshots.

According to the report by Vanguard, she said that the wives of the Hausa and Fulani men in the neighbour whom they had never had any issues started to rain insults on them.

She said, “When we didn’t know what was happening, we went back inside, but we saw the Muslims in the neighbourhood moving in their numbers to the direction of the gunshots. We came out again and saw how menacing they were moving towards us and we got scared because we were only a few Christian families surrounded by the Muslims.

“We moved to the Church, COCIN Church, Sabon Kaswa and our Reverend and everyone with security numbers were calling the security to come but they delayed. The Hausa and Fulani boys were moving menacingly as their wives whom we never had any problem started insulting us.”

Speaking about how she was able to escape, she said that she later called her son, and he came with some security men who picked some of them up and dropped them at the Gindiri junction.
