December 9th 2024, The Governor of Edo state, Senator Monday Okpbebholo requested the confirmation of members of Edo State Sport Commission with Amadin Desmond Enabulele as Executive Chairman, Barr. Anthony Iluobe, Frank Ilaboya and Baldwin Bazuaye as members.
When this members arrived the state house of assembly complex for confirmation they were turned back, saying the SSG acting on the orders of the Governor asked that it be put on hold.
Investigations discovered that Philip shaibu, the former Deputy Governor of edo state, using his former Personal Assistant (PA), Hon Donald Okugbe who his now a member of the state house of assembly and chairman house committee on sport to frustrate the confirmation of the sport commission nominees because one Sabina Chikere (Philip Shaibu’s sister in-law) who was the former Permanent Secretary of the commission, fighting really hard to return was not included.
The question is what is Philip Shaibu’s hidden interest in Edo state sport commission? Why is he desperate to return Sabina Chikere as Director General (A position that does not exist)
Why is Philip Shaibu using his boy, Donald Okugbe to repel the constitution of the sport commission and create the office of the Director General so they can impose Sabina Chikere?
Bendel Insurance sold 14 Players when Sabina Chikere was permanent secretary and Philip shaibu controlling the commission with greed. Where is the money they made from the sale of those 14 players?
Edo state governor should ask Philip Shaibu, how many Bendel insurance players are really owned by the state government.
What is Philip Shaibu desperately trying to cover?
Sabina Chikere who is struggling to make the list and bragging that with Philip Shaibu, they will overturn the Governor’s order is not even qualified to be on the board of the sport commission.
